The following are links to a variety of You Tube videos that I endorse.
Disclaimer: In the interest of keeping life entertaining I am posting links to You Tube videos that I appreciate for some food related reason. Some of them are more serious than others. Some are more comedic and parts of these videos should be taken with a grain of salt but the underlying messages of all videos found on this page align with my philosophy and beliefs about food and/or our food system.
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver: Sugar
Comedian and talk show host John Oliver discusses the FDA proposal to require food companies to add a line to their nutrition label to note the amount of “added sugar” they put in their food products. A comedic approach to a serious topic. Bottom line: food companies do not want you to know how much added sugar they put in their products for fear you will stop consuming them.

Ron Finley: A guerilla gardener in South Central LA
By far one of my heros in the “garden to table movement.” Ron Finley exposes the inequality of food access across different economic brackets and discusses the importance of empowering impoverished communities by getting people pumped to grow their own food! In the food desert of South Central L.A. he brings community members and children together to grow food in their local, if limited, green spaces. An inspiration upholding an easily attainable ideal. Finley says: “Growing your own food is like printing your own money.”
